about us.
One team. one seamless experience.
About us.
We believe a home should be built with the same care it will be lived in - considered, deliberate, and made to last.
That belief is why INTERLOCK. exists as one unified studio, not two. Architectural Design and Construction do not sit on opposite sides of a divide here — they move together, as one team, toward one outcome, from the first sketch through to the final key.
an integrated studio.
Most homes are shaped by two conversations that never quite meet — a design conversation, and a construction one. Somewhere between them, intent gets lost, budgets shift, timelines blow out and the finished result drifts from what was promised.
Our integrated Design and Construction studio brings architects, designers, engineers, and builders into one team, one vision, one standard. Homes are designed with construction in mind and built with full architecural understanding.
a team, not a signature.
INTERLOCK. is a team of architects, designers, project managers, and tradespeople, brought together with a shared set of values rather than a single name above the door.
We're led by Nathan Howe, a third-generation builder, and Troy Newman, a registered architect who has worked across the globe - two practitioners who spent years on either side of the design-build divide, before coming together to build something better. Interlock was never meant to rest on two people. It's a culture, built deliberately, that holds regardless of who's in the room - because our clients deserve a studio they can trust beyond any one individual.
how we work.
Every project begins the same way: with time spent understanding how our clients actually want to live, not just what they want built. That clarity becomes the foundation of our architectural design, whether its a home renovation, or new residential construction. From there, Design and Construction move together — tested against buildability, budget, and craftmanship at every stage, rather than at the end of one and the start of another.
We take on a limited number of projects each year. Not as a marketing line, but because high integrity Design and Construction delivery at this level doesn't scale past a certain point and we'd rather stay within it than compromise past it.
the outcome.
A home delivered exactly as it was designed - considered, deliberate, and built to last, well beyond the day it's handed over. A Design and Construction process free from the friction most high-end residential builds treat as inevitable. And a studio that stands behind its work long after the last trade has left site.
